Mike Schafer

After graduating from Mater Dei, I attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1982. I spent five years in Phoenix working in sales and going to school at night at Arizona State University, where I got my MBA in 1987. I moved to the greater Cincinnati area at that time when I accepted a marketing job at Procter & Gamble, where I worked for the next 17 years. After that, I spent a year and a half in Thoroughbred racing and breeding (long story), and have been the VP of Brand Strategy at Fifth Third Bank for the past four years. I have coached basketball competitively (AAU) for the past 10 years, and still love literature, theatre, sports and all things Notre Dame.
