ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sadly we announce the passing of Michele Burgess class of 1978. Michele passed unexpectedly in her sleep on November 2nd 2024. Michele was our devoted friend in high school…..Swensens ice cream….Bible Studies….retreats in the mountains. Important times! Rest in peace Michele!

 
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of retired Police Services Officer Dave Maher. Dave passed away unexpectedly early yesterday morning. Dave began his career on April 14, 1999. He was hired as a Communications Officer and later became a Police Services Officer in 2003. Dave was an excellent crime scene investigator and traffic reconstructionist. Dave also served as a department CPR & First Aid Instructor and taught many department training days for TPD personnel. In 2009, Dave transferred to the Criminal Investigations Unit, where he worked as a Civilian Investigator and handled criminal cases including fraud, elder abuse, and domestic violence. Dave’s tenacity and work ethic, working alongside his partners, assisted in the successful prosecution of many criminal offenders. Prior to joining the Tustin Police Department, Dave served as a US Navy Reservist and was honorably discharged in 1984. Dave retired in December 2019 after 20 years of dedicated service to the Tustin Police Department. Dave will always be remembered as a great investigator and friend.

Dave’s family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Such sad news about the passing of Gary Dominguez. I am so sad for Suzie and her family facing this tremendous loss. I feel honored that I got to chat with him at the fortieth reunion. Gary was such a solid and good man and I cannot imagine what his family is going through. Thank you for letting us know, Vince, and a million thank yous for keeping our class of '78 going!! A ton of prayers for beautiful Suzie and her family.
