In Memory

James Ingram

Jim passed away over the Thanksgiving weekend . . . many friends have shared thoughts and memories of Jim on his Facebook page.  Jim was a Monarch through and through.  His friendship touched many and he will be truly missed.

This is so very sad!! My heart goes out to his family. My fond memories of Jim was that he was incredibly smart, articulate beyond words, funny as hell, and just truly a kind individual. You were too young to leave this earth.  May you rest in Peace Jim!! With Love,   Libby O'Connor Bastasch

Jim and I reconnected 4 years ago; it was as if we never parted. Jim was the same happy, opinionated friend I’d remembered.  He did some legal work for me after my mom passed away so we had the chance to drive out to Palm Springs for court a bunch of time. How I value those drives, what a great chance to spend time with my old friend.

Jim had become an avid shooter with his friend Scott and yes he got me hooked. We would spend hours talking about ammo, rifles and re-loaders and of course current affairs and how screwed up things are.

Jim invited me to play in John Hagerty’s Memorial golf tournament last May at Willowick. We paired up with Dave Gonzalez and his dad; yes Mr. G kicked all of our butts. We didn’t win that day but I have to believe we had the most fun of any group.  I got to see Dave at Jim’s funeral and we now have a yearly foursome in the Hagerty.

If I could see Jim one more time I would chew him out (again) for not taking better care of himself. Thinking about it, how could you chew Jim out? He would look at you with that “Yea, I know” look and all you wanted to do was hug him.

I will greatly miss my old friend, I value the time we shared recently and the memories we created years ago. He was a great friend that would do anything for you, many people say that about people but those of us who knew Jim know that was who he was. He was bigger than life, true to his values and beliefs and loyal to those that loved him. I can truly say my life is better because I had the chance to call Jim my friend. He was the brother I’ve never had…. I’ll miss you Jimbo. Give your granddad a big hug for me when you see him up there!

Rest In Peace my friend.

Words are inadequate to describe Jim. He was a remarkable human being who left us before his time. He touched so many with his pugnacious wit and wisdom. Even my husband who never met Jim in person was saddened at his passing. A great voice was silenced but a great soul was released from earthly bonds. May he reside with Jesus Christ forever. Godspeed, dear friend.

Still missing you friend!  I pop in to your FB page periodically...just to make sure you are still there!  I keep thinking that I am going to find a rant about our current political disasters, but I guess God and the angels in heaven are now being blessed with your wit and intelligence :).  Happy Holidays!
